City to Host Multiple Community Development Meetings in January
The City of Omaha will conduct two meetings and one open house this month.
2021 CDBG/HOME Grant Application Workshop
The purpose of this meeting is to inform interested parties of the application process for Fiscal Year 2021 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds. A morning session will be for people already familiar with the process and will focus on changes in the application process new to 2021 applications. An evening session will provide a comprehensive overview more suitable for new applicants.

This meeting will be an open house with information on the 2020 Action Plan Budget, a draft of the Forever North plan, a draft of the OOIC redevelopment plan, and updates on the North Omaha trail, and concepts the Manderson Market Redevelopment Plan. The Action Plan is required annually for the City to participate in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs and describes how those funds will be utilized in a given year.

Crown Point Improvement Project Open House

This meeting will discuss the upcoming construction of the Crown Point Improvement Project, which spans from Blair High Road to 72nd Street. The project will replace worn pavement and repurpose the existing corridor to accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles more efficiently. A brief presentation will be made at 5:45 to provide an overview of the project improvements and anticipated construction phasing.
