David Rice and Ed Poindexter were found guilty for the bombing murder of Omaha police officer Larry Minard on April 17, 1971. Shortly after the guilty verdicts were announced, they were escorted from the courtroom and taken to the Nebraska State Penitentiary in two separate cars to begin their journey as “lifers.”
